RMO Recruitment and Career Information Evening

Wednesday 29 May at St John of God Midland Hospital from 5-7:30pm

St John of God Health Care has created an exciting new Resident Medical Officer (RMO) program that will enable junior doctors to gain quality clinical experience by undertaking rotations at its Midland, Murdoch and Mt Lawley hospitals.

An RMO Recruitment and Career Information Evening is being held to provide the opportunity for junior doctors to hear about the benefits of the program, which is a collaboration between St John of God Midland, Mt Lawley and Murdoch Hospitals.

The event will also provide the opportunity for junior doctors to gain first-hand knowledge from senior consultants about what it is like to work within their departments, as well as gain tips on career progression and the RMO application process.

In 2020, we will offer 20 RMO positions to those completing GP training that include 3 months in Paediatrics and 3 months of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with other rotations available in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Mental Health, Rehabilitation and Leave Relief. We will also be offering Extended Skills (6 month) RMO rotations in Paediatrics, Emergency, General Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Lastly, we will offer Advanced Skill placements at Registrar level (12 months) in Emergency, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mental Health.

Applications open 15 May 2019 (and close on 16th June 2019) for the RMO program, which will enable junior doctors to learn from experienced consultants and benefit from dedicated teaching, training and research opportunities; as well as flexible work arrangements, including part-time options.
