Apply to the 2020 AGPT program, final intake applications now open

According to the WA Department of Health’s Medical Workforce Report, published in 2015-16, WA will face a shortage of nearly 1,000 general practitioners by 2025.

It’s people like you that will change this statistic.

Final intake applications for the 2020 AGPT program are now open and we have a number of positions left to fill. It’s time to get your application ready, here is the important information you need to know about phase one of the AGPT application process.

How to apply
You can apply for the AGPT program via the applications portal on your preferred college website. The application requirements for each college differ slightly, click below for a breakdown per college:

Application Tips
To increase your chances of a successful application, we recommend you:

  • provide supporting documentation that is true, correct and complete
  • ensure all documents are scanned properly and in colour
  • at times, the Department of Health (DOH) may need more information, make sure you regularly check your emails and any further documents requested by the DOH are provided in a timely manner
  • ensure your references are aware and are available to complete the referee survey for your application
  • be sure to contact WAGPET and/or your preferred GP college should you need any application information
