Have your say on mental health barriers

WA Primary Health Alliance in conjunction with Western Australia University Consultants are conducting a survey  to identify barriers that GPs are encountering in managing mental health presentations.

General Practitioners are often the first point of contact for people seeking mental health support. This is the most common health issue GPs engage in with their patients, however, there is little information or data available regarding how these patients are managed by GPs.

WA Primary Health Alliance has engaged management consulting charity Western Australia University Consultants (WAUC) to identify the barriers that GPs are encountering in managing mental health presentations.

This survey aims to gather data regarding:

  • The strategies GPs are using to manage patients experiencing mental ill-health,
  • The barriers GPs experience in treating mental health presentations, and
  • The role WA Primary Health Alliance and the Primary Health Networks can play in reducing these barriers, and supporting GPs in managing mental health.

The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Click here to have your say.

If you have any questions please contact Emily Moore, HealthPathways Coordinator at emily.moore@wapha.org.au

Your responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared or sold to third parties. Responses will not be identified at an individual level, and all responses will be aggregated and analysed as a group.
