Consider yourself a research enthusiast? An Academic Post might be for you!

If you have an interest in research, an Academic Post is an exciting opportunity for you.

An Academic Post will help you build your skills in research, teaching and critical thinking. Running concurrently with your clinical training requirements, an Academic Post is a 12-month term which can be undertaken through a number of Universities across WA. You will have the support of a University appointed supervisor as well as the WAGPET team.

It’s time to start thinking about your application.

Academic Post applications for 2021 will open on Monday, 2 March 2020 and close Monday, 1 June 2020. There is a total of 20 Academic Post positions available nationally each year, making the application process very competitive.

Both ACRRM and RACGP have a wide variety of resources to assist you in preparing a quality application.

If you have a research project in mind, we recommend you start talking to your regional medical educator and start your Academic Post application today!
