Your support crew

Each training region has a dedicated Program Training Advisor (PTA) and Regional Medical Educator (RME) to support you through training.

At every stage of GP training your PTA and RME will assist you with program related information,
support and advice.

The PTA has a relationship with the registrars, the training facilities and the RME in their region. PTAs have comprehensive knowledge on the program requirements, practice placements, and they understand the many topics and queries that arise during GP training.

The RME delivers clinical education and training at regular regional education days and supports the clinical aspects of GP training in partnership with the supervisor and PTA. The RME, along with the supervisor, monitors the progress of your assessment milestones.

See below for the PTA and RME for each region.
