Teach dementia care webinar

We know from the research that has been done by the Wicking Institute that lack of confidence is one of the most significant barriers to diagnosing dementia in general practice. For various reasons, GP registrars see fewer older patients and patients with chronic conditions than their vocationally registered counterparts. This has a significant impact upon teaching and learning in training practices, reducing chronic and complex care experience and teaching opportunities.

This webinar will assist you the supervisor in teaching your registrar how to identify dementia with great certainty as well as how to deliver a diagnosis of dementia.

At the end of the session you will:

  • identify dementia with great certainty
  • demonstrate how to deliver a diagnosis of dementia
  • give your registrar effective feedback.
