Rural Emergency Obstetrics Training (REOT)

As a rural generalist, you need to be prepared for any emergency, however it presents itself. The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) run a number of emergency courses for doctors, ensuring you have the necessary skills to deal with emergency situations confidently and competently.

Rural Emergency Obstetrics Training (REOT) is relevant to any type of doctor, in any location. This is a one-day workshop taught by GP obstetricians and midwives, designed to equip non-obstetric practitioners with vital emergency obstetric skills. Covering normal birthing procedures and common birthing emergencies, REOT will boost your skills and confidence when dealing with third trimester emergencies.
