Advanced Skills Training opportunity: Adult Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine

Northam Hospital and Health Service in the Western Wheatbelt are seeking enthusiastic doctors keen to achieve Advanced Specialised Training qualifications in the Rural Generalist Pathway as either Adult Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Registrars in this program.

Northam offers great regional and rural training experiences within a committed and expert clinical team.  Clinical challenges and opportunities for learning are enhanced by the opportunities for social and community interactions and convenience to Perth when needed.

All Australians deserve access to high quality healthcare, no matter where they live. A training program for doctors pursuing a rural career places the right medical skills in rural communities where they are needed most. In your career as a rural generalist, you’ll be working at the pinnacle of medical practice, ensuring equal health access in regional, rural, and remote Australia.

The WA Rural Generalist (WARG) program is open to training doctors who have chosen a career in general practice and have a passion and commitment to the broadest scope of medical care - including emergency medicine in a rural hospital setting, advanced care in specialty areas, and comprehensive community general practice.
