Develop your research, teaching and project work skills with an academic post

If you have an interest in research, we have exciting opportunities for you. An academic post can help you build your skills in research, teaching and critical thinking. An academic post is a 12-month part-time (0.5 FTE) position completed within a university department of general practice or rural clinical school, whilst also completing clinical training at 0.5 FTE.

RACGP academic post applications for 2022 are now open and close on Monday, 5 July 2021. ACRRM academic post applications for 2022 will open on Monday, 19 April and will close on Monday, 19 July 2021.

WAGPET, along with WA universities and the two colleges will be hosting an information webinar at 7pm on Tuesday, 20 April 2021 where we'll be talking all about academic posts and answering any questions you have. Click here to register.

Prior to attending this webinar we encourage you to view the information available on the ACRRM and/or RACGP websites regarding the application process. This webinar will not be covering that detail but will explain the research opportunities available, and allow you to ask specific questions of your future academic post supervisors.
