Rural Surgical and General Physician Forum 2021

Forum details
This forum is part of the WA Country Health Service and Rural Health West Resident Specialist Procedural GP Education Series. 

The one day Surgical and General Physician Forum will include lectures, interactive discussions and sessions delivered concurrently and facilitated by experienced specialists.  The forum will provide an opportunity to network with fellow colleagues.  

Topics include:

  • Tropical ulcers and skin infections
  • Managing inflammatory bowel disease
  • Medical management of bariatric patients
  • Medical and surgical management of chronic non-cancer pain in a resource-poor environment

This forum is pending accreditation with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). 

Travel Support
Travel support is available to currently practising emergency doctors, specialists and medical practitioners, who work and live in rural and remote Western Australia.

Please note: Full attendance at the forum is a condition of flights and travel reimbursement of Rural Health West.  If you are not in attendance for the whole program, you will be invoiced for the cost of your travel.  Tickets booked prior to full registration payment being received by Rural Health West will not be authorised.  There is no family program associated with this forum, travel for partners and children will not be covered.

Open to all currently practising emergency doctors, specialists and medical practitioners.
